About Us
Live Well Greater Toledo is a diverse collaboration of community leaders and organizations working together to promote policy, systems and environmental change for a healthier community.
Our Story
Live Well was established in 2011, Our focus offers opportunities to individuals in underserved areas of our community to increase physical activity and improve eating habits, which leads to improved health and well-being. The work of Live Well is in concert with a state-wide network of communities, organizations, and individuals advocating for improved nutrition and physical activity.

The work of Live Well is strongly supported by the YMCA/JCC of Greater Toledo, an organization with strong roots in the community. The YMCA/JCC has consistently provided support in the form of staff hours, salaries, community engagement, providing meeting and office space, and serving as the fiscal agent for Live Well grant funding.

Live Well leaders meet on a quarterly basis as a large group while the steering team; comprised of individuals designated by leaders, meets once per month. The leadership and steering teams worked together to develop a Community Action Plan (CAP) which incorporates 3 objectives with the goal of working in underserved parts of the community to aid in elimination of health disparities.
